DESCRIPTION
Our product development firm is seeking a skilled mechanical engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, prototyping, and testing new products, as well as improving existing products. The mechanical engineer will work collaboratively with other engineers, designers, and project managers to ensure the successful completion of projects within specified deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and develop new products from concept to production using CAD software and other engineering tools.
• Conduct feasibility studies and develop prototypes to validate product design concepts.
• Conduct product testing and evaluation to ensure that products meet quality standards and comply with industry regulations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, software engineers, and industrial designers, to develop integrated products.
• Analyze and solve complex technical problems related to product design and development.
• Create technical documentation, including engineering drawings, specifications, and assembly instructions.
• Participate in design reviews and provide technical guidance to team members.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• At least 1-5 years of experience in mechanical engineering and product design.
• Strong proficiency in CAD software, such as SolidWorks.
• Experience with prototyping and testing methodologies.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials.
• Familiarity with industry regulations and standards, if applicable.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Supervising the development of computer-aided design (CAD) project drawings from junior team members

Developing, initiating, and managing all phases of projects

Preparing documentation of critical analysis and providing suggestions for correcting errors

Collaborating with Project Managers for proper allocation and tracking of resources

Comfortable with schedule and budget management.
