Below is a list of commonly asked questions about our product development process. 
  • How do I know my idea is safe to share with you?
    Fill out our NonDisclosure Agreement (NDA) which basically outlines that we can not share any discussed or shared information. This is a key step that allows us to discuss your idea with you and help you decide which direction you should go in. Click here to sign our NDA and one of our partners will reach out to you. This gives you piece of mind knowing your info is safe to share, and yes you maintain your rights.
  • How do I start the process?
    Start the process by signing an NDA or if you want to speak to one of our partners, schedule a meeting here. Once a signed NDA is completed or a scheduled call is made, you can expect to be contacted by one of our parnters to discuss you project. From this point, we will discuss and create your custom project plan to move forward.
  • Does Idea House help with filing US Patents?
    With over 20 internal US patents, we understand the path to getting awarded a patent. If you do not already have a patent filed, we do offer services to filing your patent. If speed to filing is a concern, consider our Express Patent Program where we focus on speed to the minimum amount of claims and diagrams needed to get you patent protection as quickly as possible.
  • What does working with Idea House look like?
    Depending on the services your idea or product requires, your path is unique to your story, however, every project is awarded a project manager that will be your advocate and support the project from beginning to end. We have identified phases that include market analysis, design, engineering, testing, prototype, specification, and manufacturing. Your project manager will provide a schedule with targeted dates to complete the phases your project requires.   • How long does it take to develop a product?
    Depending on the complexity of the project and the number of features the length of time is unique to every project and industry. However, typically each project averages to be between 12-16 weeks from idea to manufacturing readiness.
  • What does it cost to work with Idea House?
    Depending on the complexity of the product the budget does vary based on a few variables such as how many components are a part of the assembly, the industry and regulations such as medical or dental, required speed to market, and much more. We do have simple projects that are as little as $5,000 up to the more complex projects to $30,000 and medical devices that can reach upwards of $60,000.   • Does Idea House offer terms or payment options?
    We understand the complexity and challenges both companies and start-ups face, which is why we have numeral options for various needs on payment structures. We offer Phase by Phase payments, which allows each phase to be completed before moving to the next, we also offer level payment structures of a number of payments based on your needs.     Idea House has been in numerous industries and worked with every size start-up or company.
